You know the space between your two front teeth, the one you have had for as long as you can remember. At Dentiland we can make that space disappear - painlessly and effortlessly.
We can also correct chipped and cracked teeth using the same procedure. How? With dental filling, it is a simple procedure that adds material the color of your own tooth to make it appear natural.
How is Fill Applied?
The dentist first isolates the tooth or teeth that need to be filled. Next, a mild phosphoric acid compound is applied to the tooth for just 15 seconds to prepare the tooth to be filled. Phosphoric acid does not cause any discomfort and is a necessary step to ensure that the resin material adheres properly to the tooth surface.
The next step is the application of the liquid resin filler. This is a putty of the natural color of your teeth that is applied to the surface layer of the tooth in a suitable way to match the other teeth. They are then 'cured' with a special blue light. The filling is applied in several layers and is sculpted until the tooth is the correct shape and thickness.
You will be amazed when that space is closed forever!
The final step is to sand and polish the filled teeth to make them look natural and look like adjacent teeth.
Is the Fill Permanent?
The filling usually lasts approximately 5 years with adequate daily dental hygiene and regular check-ups. Filled teeth should be checked regularly for wear, aging or the need to redo. Filled teeth tend to stain more easily.
