Deborah Armellini, DDS, MS
Dr. Armellini received her dental degree from the Central University of Venezuela. She received an MBA from the University of Michigan and embarked on a clinical fellowship in Implantology Prosthodontics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Dr. Armellini is dedicated to the highest standard of care in the restoration and replacement of teeth. She has taught as an assistant professor at the University of Michigan, the University of Toronto, and the University of Maryland. Her research topics include the impact of dental implant treatments on quality of life, dental treatment with shortened dental arches, and computerized 3-D treatment planning with guided surgery. Her passion is to help communities and create awareness to improve their quality of life. Some of her missionary work has been in Venezuela (amazon), Mexico and other areas of South America. She as also been involved with Operation Smile in Vietnam.
She has been widely published in peer-reviewed prosthodontics journals and has lectured at many national and international conferences. Dr. Armellini is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow in Prosthodontics of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Rebecca Ortenzio Lee, DDS, MSD, Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics
Dr. Lee grew up in Northeast Ohio and graduated from Youngstown State University Magna Cum Laude. She was active on campus with student government and varsity cheerleading. During her time as an undergraduate was when she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in orthodontics. She loved the idea of improving a person’s smile and how it can help patients gain confidence and self esteem.
She attended University of Michigan on a United States Navy Health Professions Scholarship and graduating with honors in 2001. Dr. Lee has been stationed in San Diego, CA; onboard a Naval Ship, USS Duluth-LPD-6; The United States Naval Academy and Okinawa, Japan.

Dr. Lee has achieved the distinction of being a Board Certified Orthodontist; which requires additional written and clinical examinations after becoming an orthodontist. She is active lecturing at various continuing education venues to include Naval Postgraduate Dental School, Bethesda, MD, the U.S. Air Force, and Armed Forces Dental Society.
Dr. Lee enjoys traveling and has been to various foreign countries and to all but 7 of the United States. But what she loves most is spending time with her family; husband David, daughter Peyton, and son Dominic.
Michael Gwaltney, DDS
Michael Gwaltney, D.D.S. is a native of Richmond, Virginia, where he graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1989. Dr. Gwaltney received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993. After graduation from dental school, he began a private practice in Richmond. He volunteered in and directed the Love of Jesus Dental Clinic, a free clinic that was located in Midlothian, Virginia, from 2006 to 2008. In 2010, he moved to Northern Virginia.
Dr. Gwaltney enjoys all areas of general dentistry and actively pursues continuing dental education. He values educating his patients about their dental needs and working with them to improve their smiles.
Dr. Gwaltney enjoys spending his free time with family and friends. He is married to Magdalena, a dental hygienist, and has two beautiful children, Alexandra, 8, and Michael, Jr., who is 5 months old. His hobbies include repairing and restoring cars, reading, traveling, and exploring the area. He currently lives in Cascades, Sterling, VA.
Dr Jada A Daniel, DDS
Dr. Daniel was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She left the Virgin Islands to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science. During her undergraduate education, Dr. Daniel attended enrichment programs that solidified her passion for science and healthcare.
Discovering dentistry to be the perfect fit, Dr. Daniel stayed in North Carolina to obtain her doctorate degree in dental surgery from the UNC School of Dentistry. Dr. Daniel was very active in leadership and community service. Dr. Daniel has been to Malawi in Africa in 2010 and Jamaica in 2014, both mission trips to serve populations with limited access to dental care. Dr. Daniel takes pride in establishing an authentic relationship with each and every patient, educating them on ways to improve their dental health.
Upon graduation from dental school in 2012, Dr. Daniel advanced her dental education and clinical experience as a General Practice resident at the Philadelphia Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Daniel served communities in Charlotte NC as an associate dentist for 3 years before deciding to move to the Virginia/Maryland area in 2016. During her free time, Dr. Daniel focuses on her passion for creating a health and wellness coaching practice as well as her passion for music and poetry.

Ana Sierra – Treatment Coordinator
Ana Sierra, our treatment plan coordinator, makes sure that our dental office is running smoothly and will help you have the best experience possible as a patient. She has a very friendly personality and will make you feel very comfortable. Her best ability is to put together the best treatment plan possible and will help you find the most suitable payment plan for your budget. She is highly knowledgeable in dealing with insurance companies and will also help you understand your treatment plan.
Anna is also key in supporting the outreach community program that we are offering. She was born in Mexico and raised in San Diego California. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Jose Reyes – Dental Assistant
The incredible spirit of Jose and his humor helps improve the patient experience in the office. He is highly trained in all dental procedures and is very talented in offering a great service and experience to all our patients. With his cheerful nature, he helps our physicians in providing an essential part of the treatment of our patients. For José, to belong to this field makes you feel proud for all the help it provides others with their oral health. José is fluent in English and Spanish.
Jancy Portillo – Dental Assistant
Jancy started with Top Dental July 2015, and since has made a wonderful asset to the team. She is always a focused and detail orientated Dental Assistant who is experienced in acting as a liaison between the dentist and the patient. Jancy always makes it priority to ensure the patient receives the best experience possible; she possesses extensive knowledge of both chair-side and reception duties; she diligently applies past professional experiences to the medical world through a working knowledge of back office procedures and administrative functions. Jancy prides herself with the ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and assumes a personal commitment to preventive dental care and education. On her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching funny movies. She also is an active volunteer in her community. Jancy plans to extend her career in the dental field as a hygienist in the future.
Victoria Brito – Dental Assistant
Victoria is currently in school for her dental hygiene diploma. She chose that career for many reasons, one of them being that she enjoys interacting with people and helping them in any way she can. While working on a patient her goal is to make them know they are in good hands. Being respectful and kind is something that she practices with everyone while on their visit to the dentist. She intend to work in an honorable way doing the best she can in everything she does. In her free time Victoria likes spending time with her loved ones.
Kelly Ayala – Dental Assistant
Kelly is a wonderful, caring dental assistant who takes the time to listen to each patient’s individual needs. She is proud to be a part of such a friendly, dedicated staff. Unusual as it may seem, Kelly always enjoyed going to the dentist as a child, which eventually led her down the career path of a Dental Assistant Kelly strives to build relationships with her patients and finds their trust very important and rewarding. Going to work every day is a new experience and another opportunity to ensure her patients feel comfortable and leave happy. One of the things she enjoys most about dentistry is to see how changing a patient’s smile transforms their lives. In her free time she enjoys playing with her dog and spending time with her family.
