The state and color of the tongue can give many clinical indications of what may be affecting a child, and even an adult.
Pediatrician Jorge Abel Salinas said that white tongue may be associated with a problem of indigestion, but also with a lack of hygiene.
The specialist recalled that language hygiene applies to all ages. In the case of a baby, simply use a wipe moistened with water, to proceed with the cleaning of the area, or use bicarbonated water.
Salinas said that the visit to the doctor is also necessary, because this is clarified if the child is affected by a urinary infection that causes the loss of their defenses, and that is what causes the mouth injuries.
